Room at the Inn - Warming Center

We encourage you to continue offering assistance to the host churches. You can check the host church schedule on our website at www.roomattheinn.org. Please contact the church coordinator to volunteer for one or more shifts. The volunteer training schedule is also listed on the website.

Each night Room at the Inn guests must leave the host church at 6AM (M-F) and 8AM (Sat-Sun). The Warming Center provides a warm and friendly location for the guests and others to gather before heading out for the day. Basically the host church will have the use of the Warming Center to serve breakfast for the guests from 6am-8am. This means the host church will provide food and volunteers for that time only.

At 8am a volunteer for the warming center will take over and the center will stay open until 11am. We have several regular volunteers to cover set days of the week but we continue to look for volunteers to cover the entire week. Please sign up. If you are a regular volunteer please sign up for your regular shifts, if you only have a day here and there, please sign up as soon as you can so we know what days we will need to find coverage for.

If you would like to volunteer at the warming center, please e-mail chris@roomattheinn.org or call Doris at 226-3082. When you call you can talk to Chris, his wife Doris, or his mother Rita. If for some unusual reason they all are gone, please leave a message and he will get back to you asap. If you give me an idea of when is best to call you, it makes connections easier. E-mail will also work but please give your phone # and a couple of dates and times when you are available: 1st, 2nd and 3rd choice. He will give you the first available date if you list them that way, and e-mail or call you back with the date and time he scheduled you.

Thank you for your servant's heart.
