New Volunteer Training

Thank you to everyone who attended our March training for volunteers.  We look forward to you signing up for one of our volunteer shifts at the shelter and joining our incredible team. Welcome!                                                                                            

Please join us for our next volunteer training (the last one for the 2012-13 shelter season) on Thursday, April18th, from 6:00-9:00 PM.  The training will take place at Faith in Christ Church, located at 145 W. Ridge Street in Marquette.

Welcome to Room at the Inn

Room at the Inn is a emergency night shelter for adults.  Room at the Inn is run by an interfaith coalition of churches sharing the mission to provide support and shelter for the homeless in the Marquette area. Room at the Inn is a rotating shelter, moving weekly to one of the thirteen different hosting  churches.  The shelter is run and staffed by volunteers and funded by contributions from the community. The underlying goal of Room at the Inn is to provide an opportunity for guests to focus on life transitions without the worry of finding food and shelter.  Room at the Inn serves Marquette area residents but will consider referrals from neighboring social service agencies on a case to case basis.  Prior approval from the shelter director is needed for non area guests before admission.
